I Have this Garden of Poems

full of flowers that bloom
at first
and then carried away with my greenthumb
i planted everything
trees and more trees and shrubs and bamboos
and vines and hanging plants

almost everything
and so the blooming flowers died
and the grasses diminishing like some
hair of this baldness

but nothing is lost in this garden of poems
the birds came and built their nests
some are still coming
every morning
and then the chirping begins

Still Waiting Here

by Mooie Ogen

Breathe in and sing for me now,
As the moonlight pierces through my skin.
Let your words wrap my cold body tonight,
Caress my heart from deep within.

Could you soothe the wounds of your absence?
They're burning, they're burning me tonight.
Could you say my name as I blow out my candles?
Shut my mind and turn out the light.

I want your voice, my body yearns,
For the rhythm of your enchanting smile.
As time passes by, I'm moving backward,
Cynical, slowly slipping into denial.

Do you know me; do you love me?
Do you remember the shades of my face?
Could you kiss me; could you hold me?
Sing a night that time cannot erase?

"Hold on just a second more," you said,
"Hold on, hold on, we'll both be free."
Left me behind as you ran through the field,
I'm still waiting for you to come back for me.

I'm breaking, I'm letting go, I'm tearing apart,
As I'm coming undone, could you break my fall?
I'm sinking in the ocean of the moonlight,
I'm waiting, still wondering if you will call..
